Keeping your office and especially your desk clean and organized can be very hard when located in a small room. It’ll look messy very quickly. Storage

One of the important things is that you need storage for all your things. Maybe you already have a few notebooks, you collect magazines for your inspiration and you have some study books. For these things in your small office, it’s smart to think about build-in shelves, like the ones you see in the photo above. Also, you can buy (or build yourself!) some cupboards underneath your desk.

Functional Style

This is another way to store your stuff. Inside your desk itself! I think this one has some drawers too, so you have even more storage. If you do something with fabrics and clothing or something, you can even put them in the matching basket on the right side! Stylish and functional! I like that 😉

Decoration

If you are a blogger or entrepreneur who doesn’t need much to work with, you also won’t need much storage room. For you, a small office is perfect. You will have all the things you need and they don’t need a lot of space. In that case, you can spice up your office with accessoires and decoration. So more room to be creative and not only with your brand!

Efficiency

The man who invented this is seriously a genius. With this on your desk you have extra storage room but you create even more space on your desk itself. If you keep some notebooks, it’s tricky to let stuff like post-its, pencils and USB-sticks not organized. Buy (or make) little baskets to organize these small things. Because it’s the little things that make a desk messy.

Another way to use the space in your office efficiently is to build these baskets on the wall. Don’t underestimate the space you have on the walls, because you can build several shelves, baskets and or even your computer screen on it. Be creative!

It can be very hard to keep your stuff organized. A tip from my own experience: keep the stuff you use every day near your desk and store the things you don’t use often in boxes or baskets underneath your desk or in cabinets. Teach yourself to clean your desk every day where you’re done working, it will only take 10 minutes max!
